KODE 5 Announces First Event, KODE 5 Norway

NORWAY -- The first KODE 5 event for the 2009–2010 season will be underway in Norway in October.

KODE 5, one of the last remaining international tournaments, has announced that they will be holding their first qualifier for their next Global Finals in Kristiansund, Norway, during “The Convention”, Norway's biggest LAN tournament.

It is assumed that top teams from Norway, Sweden, Finland and other European countries will attend to qualify for KODE 5's 2010 Grand Final.

"It's truly an honor for The Convention to be a part of KODE5, and with this international qualifier, we feel that Norway and Scandinavia have once again been put on the map of the global gaming community. We consider KODE5 to be the top gaming organization in the world and are extremely proud to be able to host such an event," says Rolf Hammeraas, The Convention Head Admin.

"As one of the oldest - and may we say best – LAN parties in Norway, our 'old school hackers' in the crew will do their best to give the Convention and KODE5 participants the best experience possible during our five days. We welcome you to The Convention from October 7th to 11th, and may the best team win!"

"After a four month hiatus, it's great to kick off the new season of KODE5 with such a high-profile and long-standing event like The Convention," said Lester Lau, KODE5 Revolutionary-in-Command.

"The Convention is going to be putting on quite a show, and we are confident that gamers will enjoy an amazing gaming experience at KODE5 Norway."
