Howie’s Game Shack Announces 1.6 Tournament

BUENA PARK, California -- The famous SoCal LAN center, Howie’s Game Shack, has announced a 1.6 tournament to be held on August 17th.

Howie's Game Shack, known for their great LANs around the Southern California area, is holding a LAN competition on August 17th. There is a $2000 dollar prize pool, which the three top teams will receive a portion of although a specific amount has not been stated.

The event will start at 1:30 and end around 10:00 at Howie’s Game Shack in Buena Park. It will cost $30.00 a person early registration and $40.00 at the door.

Tournament: Sunday, August 16th, 2009, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Game: Counter-Strike 1.6
Mode: de_, 5 vs 5 team play
Maps: Dust2, Inferno, Train, and Nuke.

Registration:

Early Online Registration: Until August 13th - $30.00 per player
At-the-Door Registration: After August 13th - $40.00 per player

Prize Pool: $2,000 in cash!

Due to contest regulations the tournament is open only to residents of any state of the United States of America (other than Colorado, Connecticut and North Dakota), the District of Columbia and any Province of Canada (other than Quebec) that are 13 years of age or older as of August 16, 2009.
