The press release is below:

Welcome to the micro-site for the R.I.P. City Survival Challenge, presented by Alienware.

The task is simple – last as long as you can against a never ending onslaught of zombies. If you and three of your teammates can set the best time among PDXLAN 14 competitors, then your team will win $250 (team total).

You need to be a paid registrant for PDXLAN 14 in Portland, OR. All seats for PDXLAN 14 are already sold out – hopefully you already got your ticket. There is no additional fee to enter this contest.

To participate in this event you must register here on the Alienware Arena site. You will register individually, although you will make attempts as a part of a four person team. For this particular activity, you do not need to identify on the website exactly which teammates you will have. You can play with any other 3 registered players and it doesn’t need to be the same group each time.

For an attempt to be valid, you and your teammates must have full recordings (also known as a demo) and you must have your names set as instructed on-site by PDXLAN staff to prove the attempt was not made prior to July 17th.

And of course, play fairly and properly. Glitches and exploits are not permitted, and players are not allowed to go in places that regular or special zombies cannot get to or attack.

For more details and to register for the R.I.P. City Survival Challenge, please navigate through the pages of this micro-site. For questions please contact PDXLAN staff directly.
