ESL America Launches New Season

ESL AMERICA – ESL America has released information for their second season, including both an Open and an Invite division.

ESL America has also added Counter Strike: Source to their list of games and the Invite division will be a pay-to-play league with cash prizes for the top three placing teams from each game.

“The season-based Invite Division is a pay to play, competitive league where the best teams in North America are able to compete against each other for cash prizes,” ESL stated on their website. “In addition to the Invite division, there will be a placement tournament, where the top four ranked teams will be added to Invite.”

ESL said there will be an East, West and Central conference for each division to limit ping imbalance.

ESL hinted that the Invite division will include many known teams, but have not made any of them publically available. Teams are able to apply for the placement tournament, which will take prior to the season. You must submit success the team has had within the past two years. Check the ESL post for more information.

The prizes for the Invite division are:

1st - $1000
2nd - $400
3rd - $200

More information can be found here.
