DTS Wins ASUS Cup 2009

DTS-Gaming upset Virtus.Pro to win ASUS Cup 2009.

Only days after the end of Arbalet Cup, DTS has taken down the world famous virtus.pro for over 2000 Euros. This comes on the heels of two LAN events; DTS-Cup, where they placed lower then what is expected of a host team – which led them to add Ioan "Edward" Sukhariev – and later placing fourth at Arbalet Cup, just outside of the money.

DTS looked better only two days later however, where they reached the final after demolishing k23 in the semifinals to face Virtus.pro in the finals of the event. Virtus, who placed second at Arbalet cup, were hungry for victory, but they would be denied again, this time by DTS.

DTS won in three maps, winning the first map 16–8 on de_inferno, losing the second in a closer overtime 19–16 on de_dust2, before finally closing out the tournament strong with a 16–6 victory on de_train.
