CompLexity Drops Counter Strike Team

DALLAS, TX - CompLexity has officially announced the removal of their Counter Strike team.

Last evening, CompLexity players were seen untagging and departing the CompLexity channel, sparking rumors and questions of what was occuring with the team.

Sal "Volcano" Garozzo, one of CompLexity's players, responded through the ESEA forums on the matte, saying that he was leaving the organization.

"I just wanted to clear this up a bit for everyone on my end. However, I'm not going to speak on behalf of my teammates and friends.

About two weeks ago I began a full time job where I'm using my Comp Sci degree. I've been eager to get started with my career. While I still enjoy playing CS with my friends on coL, working approximately 40-50 hours a week, then being committed to a long practice schedule every night was starting to seem less appealing. Regular CS practice kept me from having any free time at night which is something I value more and more as I'm getting older as I'm sure many of you can understand.

I let compLexity know about a week ago that I was more than likely going to step down from playing competitively for now. It was just a matter of time until coL found the right replacement for me that I would stop playing... I didn't want to leave them without a 5th and let my team down.

Also, I just want to note that I'm not necessarily retiring. I may come back to play with some friends for fun or even competitively eventually, but right now I won't be playing full time.

Thanks for everyone's support over all the years."

After nearly 24 hours of rumors of the team's removal, CompLexity management confirmed that the organization and the team are not together anymore.

"Throughout the years, compLexity has prided itself on having some of the most stable Counter-Strike rosters in America.  However, the decision to release this squad was contemplated for over a month and we’re confident it was the right one."

CompLexity has not yet announced a new team for their organization, but said that their research is nearly finished and they will be announcing a team soon.  It was rumored on HLTV.org to be iDemise, but after speaking to the iDemise team, this information is completly false and they haven't spoken to CompLexity at all.

Insider eSports will update as information comes in.

coL needed a roster change I love everyone of their players but man they were not playing up to standards and they were getting paid as well. So J Lake had to do something.
