Extreme Master III Global Final Groups Announced

ESL-WORLD.NET - The groups have been announced for the ESL Extreme Masters Global Finals.

The Extreme Masters Global Finals groups were recently announced, following Crack Clan's victory over n!faculty to be the final European team in the Global Finals.  The groups include one Asian team, three North American teams, one South American team, and seven European teams.

No one would dare argue that one of these groups is an easy group, but Group B does appear easier than Group A.  Group A consists of the European Finals winner, mTw, SK Gaming, the very solid Gravitas Gaming, the only South American team MiBR, and MYM.  AndThenSome - certainly not a pushover team - is also in the group.

Group B includes both x3o and EG.usa.  EG.usa was invited after wNv could not attend due to VISA issues.  It also includes ALTERNATE and fnatic, both of whom are on or above the American's level.  WeMade FOX, the second place Asian team, is also in the group, but they played poorly at the Asian Continentals against wNv.  The seventh place Crack! Clan is also included in the group.

The tournament structure will remain the same as it was for the European Finals; it begins in group play and the winner of each group will move on to the four team bracket play, while the second and third place teams from each group will face off in relegation matches.

The matches are starting tomorrow morning on Friday, 6th March 2009 at 10:00 CET.
