CAL-Invite Season 23 Playoffs

INSIDER ESPORTS: The CyberAthlete Amateur League and WinOut.net team up to present the CAL-Invite Season 23 Playoffs.

The CAL-Invite regular season has finally come to an end with the six top teams moving on to battle it out in the postseason playoffs.  The format will consist of single elimination in a best of 3 maps match up with the top two seeds receiving a Bye into the second round.  All HLTV coverage for the upcoming matches will be provided by WinOut.net.

Playoff seeds are as follows:

1. Green Berets
2. Essence
3. Reverse Psychology
4. Zetsumei
5. Plun N Play
6. Drift

Round 1
: Jan 4th, 2009 - de_dust2; de_inferno; de_train

Round 2: Jan 8th, 2009 - de_nuke; de_train; de_cpl_mill

Round 3: Jan 11th, 2009 - de_cpl_mill; de_nuke; de_train

hard to determine a winner. haven't followed cal-i in a while and not many teams or names ring a bell anymore. either essence or GB, depending on the lineups.

Unfortunately, I am in the same boat as you. The only reason we have decided to cover CAL would be since the news of the purchase by the CPL in hopes that the league will work it's way up to be as promising as CEVO.

Though, I highly doubt that will happen..

Doubts, but you can only hope for the sake of competition that either CAL continues or another North American league can take its place.

XPLeague, if anyone remembers from about 2 years back, is finally (I mean it, FINALLY) ready to be releasing there website. Dan was saying in channel about a week, but I think realistically about 2-3.
