The World Esports Masters have been on the the last major tournaments in international counter-strike and one of the few major events in Asia for the games has announce that they have put in an extra $13,000 into there already $46,000 from last year making the overall prize purse $46,000.
The system for the tournament will follow the older antiquated bo1 double elimination tournament which was used in the earlier half of the decade, mostly by the CPL, instead of the bo3 single elimination tournament. They will also have a group stage for seeding purposes.
Fnatic placed first and won $22,500 for first place last year and $7,500 for second, which went to Power Gaming. The prize breakdown for this years event has not been announced and will probably feature a larger first place prize.
