The North American 1.6 rankings have been released after WCG usa and IEM american championship
Seeing as the North American teams have been ranked by the G7 ranking system, we can now officially use it to its full extent - by adding the team’s point values of the teams and then dividing to the ranking teams. You can see the last rankings here. Furthermore we will be dropping results of 1 year ago, and unlike the G7 teams rankings we will simply change the names of the teams rather than forcing them to have to go back through ranks again.
EG’s dominating win at WCG nationals took them over the passing point to take back first after not being able to compete in their own tournament putting them in second place. PoV has continued into second witha 400 point difference between them and loaded. The battle for third is a little closer with WinOut Capitalizing on the fact Loaded did not place at WCG national to pull closer despite their poor placings in their previous events shortening Loaded’s lead to 60. Backfire is closing in on WinOut with a third place finish at WCG nationals but should quickly fall to the side lines as they are not competing with the big names in ESEA.
The others are far farther back with ruins having a 72 point deficit to backfire, Area51 falling despite having a strong showing at WCG Canada simply because they were the only ranked team at the event. Vicious Gaming is even farther back with only three points, and may very well fall out of the rankings with the up coming CEVO and ESEA seasons starting up soon and IEM America less than a month away.
*UPDATE sep 23*
PoV has disbanded therefore will have all their points deducted making EG the leader with no peers within the 400 point margin.
