Playzone Picks Up Finnish Team
After losing its sponsorship with wooSai, a Finnish team finds a home with Playzone.
Elukkaveljekset – one of the top teams in Finland – was picked up today by European gaming organization Playzone, which has been without a team for almost a year.
The team parted with its former sponsor, wooSai because the organization failed to keep promises of travel and other sponsorship deals that had been promised in the contract.
To add to the problems, one of Elukkaveljekset's members, Anton "RUMBLE" Mikkola decided to go into the mandatory 2 year term in the Finnish military, making his gaming career next to impossible to maintain. To fill the void left by Mikkola's departure former Power Gaming member Miikka "dRiim" Toroi has stepped in.
The Finnish team has still not found a permanent home, as they have only signed a three month contract with the team, but will make the most by attending the three next LAN events in the Nordic region: IOL, Assembly LAN, and LanTrek.
Toroi told HLTV.org that "We think playzone is a stable organization and it has everything we need and can give us full support. It's good to wear their tag and now we don't have to worry about anything else but the game itself.”
Furthermore he shows confidence by saying, in the upcoming events, they “expect to win in every one of those events.”
Playzone Now Has:
Miikka "dRiim" Toroi
Otto "danzer" Dimitrow
Jirka "jigetus" Ryhti
Kimmo "BASiC" Fagerholm
Markus "shaker" Pyysalo
