Immortal 7 Acquires DINC
NEW YORK -- After a short and successful run DINC is acquired by Immortal7.
Damage INC– one of the up and coming organizations in North America – has merged with another organization, Immortal7 in hope to secure better sponsorships and more options.
Damage INC is notable for its recent achievements, including their Canadian team's exploits at WCG Grand Finals in Chengdu, China and their American's roster strong second place finish in ESEA Invite's LAN final. To add to the success, DINC's new CSS team, former zomblerz, was added to the invite list not to long ago for Source.
Immortal7, on the other hand, has not had as much recognizable success, with a third place finish with their former CS roster, their CSS team falling out of ESEAI finals and their TF2 team just recently being added to ESEA's invite division. They also have divisions in DoTA, which they won CEVO-Free with and CoD4 as well.
Damage INC's former owner, Dan “dan-rN” Comacho told insideresports that “some things in my personal life had caused a shift in DINCs primary funding and my time to give to the gaming community. As well as GoDaddy being quite sporadic with payments and other business, the back end of DINC went into a downward spiral. Seeking help, Joey and myself set out to find someone to step in and help stabilize it. We had talked to a few people: Mike Bruin from Turmoil and a few others but no luck, until we had been introduced to James (JMoney) from i7 By Jasper. I will be the CDO and face of i7 still controlling the teams fate and attending events. The move just takes some pressure off as I solidify some things in my personal life.”
He also added that they “are currently working out a contract with the Canadian team. As many can see the US team has already made its way as well as our CSS team the once Zomblerz.”
This comes out only shortly after the DINC.usa roster had made a roster change, added Paul “adrenaline” Baker as former Team3D member jimmy “LiN” Lin was forced to move down to a respectable sixth man position.
