ESEA Announces Prize Breakdown

ESEA announces the prize breakdown for their fifth season.

ESEA, the fastest growing league in North America, has announced the prizes for their next season which features three games, Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike Source, and Team Fortress 2.

Each division will get an increase according to size of the division, CS 1.6, the largest division gaining the most, and Team Fortress 2 gaining the least.

The first thing that is noticed is the $1000 dollar prize increase for first place in the Invite division of 1.6, as well as a increase the other divisions prizes as well. The overall Prize pot has increased from $25,000 to $27,050, an impressive 60% of the overall 45,000 prize pot.

Counter-Strike: Source has increased substantially as well, increasing its share in the prize pot to a respectable $3,000. This raises their total from $10,200 total to a $13,000 total, only 29% of the prize pot.

Finally the smallest division in ESEA's league – the Team Fortress 2 division – has changed only slightly, but that is offset by the fact that TF2 will be featured on the LAN finals of the league. The prize total increases from $4,800 to $5,000 a mere 11% of the prize pot.
