H2k Gaming Adds SpawN

SWEDEN – After a short time with florenz, h2k gaming adds the legend SpawN.

After Johan ‘Face’ Klasson and Frey ‘kHRYSTAL’ Sjöström left the newly formed h2k lineup to play for SK Gaming, who had wild success after their addition, placing first at IEM Chengdu, the h2k organization looked for two to fill their place.

For a temporary fix they added the cut SK player Jim ‘zneel’ Andersson and former ALCHEMIST Christian 'floreNz' Shanahan to the lineup as temporary fixes for their roster problems.

The team would still be searching for a permanent fix however, as they soon after dropped Christian 'floreNz' Shanahan, and were left with four players on their roster.

Today, it was announced that h2k has signed Jim ‘zneel’ Andersson to their organization and they have also finalized their roster for WCG, by added Counter-Strike legend Abdisamad “SpawN” Mohamed.

SpawN has worked for organizations such as SK, NiP and numerous others and is noted for his numerous CPL wins and extremely great experience and impressive play for every team he was on. He has not been officially signed though; he still only temporary for WCG Grand Finals.

SpawN has been most recently seen working with Zowie Gear on new mousepads, including a tour around Asia.

QUOTES

SpawN told the h2k-gaming.eu that “I have known the H2K guys for a while and played with them before, I know they are very talented and great guys, I have also heard great things about zneel and I am happy to be a stand in for the WCG event. This will be interesting and I am really looking forward to it.”

Zneel commented that “Joining this new fresh H2k-team feels like a really good challenge for me, and of course, I couldn’t say no to that. The team itself feels like a really good mix of players – everyone with their own type of skill, and that’s what makes this project so interesting. And with the given time I’m sure we will compete at the highest level! I’m really looking forward playing with these guys.”

And finally the COO of h2k gaming said that it’s “great that there are players outside the organization that wanted to help us since the department of two good players due to individual success instead of team success. Really happy to have Abdisamad on our side to compete at the World Cyber Games 2009. We have spoken a lot and I am really looking forward to his performance. Jim is a great guy and I know he can show the scene what he is worth!”

H2k Lineup:

Björn “THREAT” Pers
Emil “FYRR73” Karlsson
Niklas “NIKO” Johansson
Abdisamad “SpawN” Mohamed
Jim “Zneel” Andersson
