LatterligLett Wins KODE5 Norway
NORWAY – LatterligLett upset the Oslo Lions in the finals to qualify for KODE5 Grand Finals in Moscow.
KODE5 – one of the few international tournaments remaining after the collapse of the ESWC and many others in the past few years – has held it's first qualification event in Norway.
Many expected the Oslo Lions, previously vitrolic and the ALCHEMISTS, to win it without much competition. This was not to be, however, as the team that showed such promise in ESWC master of Cheneon was upset in the Grand Finals by another up and coming team LatterligLett, who had beat the lions in the Upper Bracket Finals.
In the first map, the Oslo Lions cruised through their opposition, coming back from a 4–1 deficit in the first half, to win de_inferno 16–6. The lead would not be held very long as LatterligLett, who chose to replay de_inferno, won it on the second time around 16–9, making the series score 2–1 and winning KODE5 Norway.
